Metta spent some time with Gertie in Charleston. When Metta's Mommy was 11, she got Gertie as a kitten and now Metta likes to try and pet her - although it consists mostly of her grabbing Gertie's fur!
Metta had a great time with Grandpa in Savannah! She never wanted to go to bed at her normal bedtime so she could stay up and spend all her time with us.
Metta had her first Christmas at her Nana and Grandpa Judkins' home and opened her first Christmas presents before we left for Savannah and Charleston. She enjoyed tearing into the paper and spending time with everyone. We had a little fun of our own by putting a reindeer headband and elf hat on her.
Metta now realizes that it's good to smile for pictures. She was sitting on our bed one afternoon and the sunlight hit her face just right. I also took our first "self-portrait." You can also see what she does when she gets tired - puts her two first fingers in her mouth and flings her left arms across her face as if to hide what she's doing. She falls asleep like this every night.
Here is Metta on her first Thanksgiving. She stayed in her p.j.'s most of the morning but looked like she needed the addition of a nice fuzzy hat! She recently got her first tooth and has spent much of the past month drooling, as you can see from her shirt! She has such chubby cheeks that it's hard to resist smothering her with kisses.
