More Solid Food....

Discovering Solid Foods...

This past week, Metta ate her first bit of solid food - delicious rice cereal. She actually loves it and grabs the spoon to feed herself. I think this solid food business is going to be messy! Metta also sat in her highchair for the first time this past weekend. She was happy to be sitting up on her own!

Bundled up for autum days

It's getting chilly outside so Metta gets her fall gear on for trips outdoors. She especially likes her little pink hat Grandpa got for her at a market in Provence! Tres chic, Metta!

Artspark Walk

We all went for a walk today in the Sculpture Garden at the Indianapolis Art Center. It is located along the White River and Metta enjoyed looking at the water and all the trees.

Metta and Grandpa

Metta's Grandpa came to visit from Savannah this past weekend. Here are some cute pictures for their time together.

Fall Gallery Walk

On September 8, Brandon showed his furniture at the Dean Johnson Gallery for the Mass. Ave. Fall Gallery Walk. The show was a success and had the highest attendance of any opening at the gallery! Here are a couple pictures of Metta enjoying Vess' concrete sculptures and Ron and Vess pondering the finer points of art.

Metta makes the paper...

Metta made the paper. At the Labor Day parade on Saturday, a photographer from the Indianapolis Star took a picture of Metta and it was posted on the IndyStar.com website. If you go to the website and scroll down the homepage to the bottom, you'll find the link to Multimedia/Photos. Click on the link and along the right side of the page, you'll see a link to the Labor Day parade. Metta is in the second picture!

Metta's First Parade

Today, Metta participated in her first parade. Metta took in all the sights and sounds before the Labor Day parade actually began but then passed out while we walked through downtown Indianapolis. Although she has attended political fundraisers before, this was Metta's first parade in support of a candidate - Kennedy for Prosecutor!

She's Got Personality....

Metta recently discovered her voice and has been exploring her vocal range with repeated shrieks - followed by expressions of complete wonder that she can make those sounds. When she's not chewing on her hands, she makes the sweetest sounds.
