William

William Magnus Rayman Judkins was born on June 9, 2008, @ 8:01 a.m. He's packing on the pounds and is already 11 lbs. 5 oz. - up from his starting weight of 8 lbs. 8 oz.! He's a sweet baby and Metta loves giving him kisses and talking about how soft he is. When he cries, she alternates between shouting "Stop Crying, William!" to soothing him with "It's ok, William."

Butler Basketball, Bathing Suits & Stickers

When my mom was in town, we took Metta to see the Butler Bulldogs (Brandon's alma mater) and the Drake Bulldogs (my parents' alma mater) play eachother in basketball. Metta had a great time and thought she was so grown up sitting by herself on the bleachers.
Another day, she found her bathing suit from last summer and really wanted to go to the pool....
And, as always, stickers provide hours (ok, minutes) of fun!

Swimming Lessons

This winter, Metta took swimming lessons at the Natatorium. At first, she wasn't so sure about getting her face wet and would just stick her tongue in the water but, by then end, she was comfortable with putting her face in the water and blowing bubbles. She also enjoyed jumping off the side of the pool, singing fun water songs and relaxing with Brandon while he walked around in the pool. I think she's anxious for more swimming this summer!

Christmas!

Metta had a great time at Christmas! The first picture is of her in the Christmas program at daycare. She REALLY got into it and, in my opinion, stole the show! She enthusiastically shook the jingle bells around her wrists and kicked her legs as hard and fast as she could while her class "sang" Jingle Bells." It was hysterical!
She really loves her wagon! One of the pics is of her using the wooden bed from her dollhouse as a pillow; she kept laying down, putting her head on it and saying "ni-nite!"

Serious Update

I really am going to try and do a better job of putting up posts on this blog. I think if I can do it once a week, I'll be in ok shape - easier said than done. We're having another baby on Monday, June 9th (a boy!) via scheduled c-section so they'll be even more pics to put up. Here are some of Metta over the last several months - these are from playing in the snow and building her first snowman!

The Pumpkin Patch!

This morning, we all went to Waterman's for a hayride to the pumpkin patch. Metta loved being pulled by a tractor and roaming through the pumpkin patch for the perfect carving pumpkin. We found it!

Lotus Fest 2007 - Bloomington

Over the weekend, we took Metta for her third trip to Bloomington. It was Lotus Fest weekend, which is a big world music festival. Metta had Tibetan food for the first time and loved her steamed dumplings and yellow curry. The concert in the park was a madhouse with literally hundreds of kids running around on the playground and arts and crafts tent. Metta decorated a bicycle with crazy streamers and roamed around, watching all the people. The last pic is a happy girl at home.

The Greatest Show on Earth

Metta recently got her first taste of the circus with Nana and Pa-Paw! When everyone first came out, she was stunned and just stared with a blank look on her face. She loved when they brought out the trained, domestic house-cats and when they dumped confetti on everyone. She had a great time!

Metta, Daddy and a calculator

Metta has a very serious and sincere love for all electronic gadgets. Little makes her happier than playing with a cell phone, Blackberry, remote control or calculator!
